Role Introduction

If you’re dreaming of a career in the air cargo industry, we may have some good news for you. Cathay Cargo is looking to strengthen its sales teams by recruiting a Cargo Sales Support Officer.

Key Responsibilities

What’s your role? Reporting directly to the Cargo Sales Support Manager, you will be responsible for booking cargo, answering customer queries (by e-mail and telephone) and proposing network and service solutions.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

Develop sales by :

  • contributing to the implementation of the cargo business plan,
  • assisting the Cargo Sales Support Manager in achieving sales targets,
  • maximizing on-board capacity and sales on each flight.

Serve customers by :

  • coordinating with the sales team the actions necessary to provide quality service to customers,
  • responding to customer inquiries and bookings quickly and professionally,
  • organizing day-to-day relations with all parties in the aircargo chain and using all distribution channels to develop sales,
  • by assisting the Cargo Sales Support Manager in the deployment of digitalized programs designed to encourage online booking.

Requirements

Your knowledge:

  • Ideally, you have specialized training in sales and/or cargo/logistics,
  • Initial experience in the air cargo sector would be a definite plus.

Know-how and interpersonal skills:

  • You have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal),
  • Your listening skills and ability to negotiate with a variety of contacts are strong.
  • Your ability to take on challenges and achieve results is essential,
  • A strong ability to develop a well-founded argument highlighting the advantages and qualities of the company’s services is also required,
  • A critical and creative mind capable of analyzing and formulating sales proposals is also welcome,
  • Finally, you work independently, dynamically and rigorously,
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office,
  • Fluency in French and English is essential.
