As a Ground Handling Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of airline services at [Airport Name]. Key Responsibilities:
- Aircraft Handling:
- Marshalling aircraft to and from gates.
- Assisting with aircraft parking and towing.
- Ensuring aircraft are serviced and prepared for departure, including loading and unloading of cargo and baggage.
- Passenger Assistance:
- Providing assistance and guidance to passengers during check-in, boarding, and disembarkation.
- Handling passenger inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Assisting passengers with special needs or disabilities to ensure a comfortable travel experience.
- Baggage Handling:
- Sorting, loading, and unloading baggage onto/from aircraft and baggage carts.
- Ensuring accurate tagging and tracking of baggage to prevent loss or mishandling.
- Resolving any issues related to baggage handling, including lost or damaged luggage.
- Ramp Operations:
- Operating ground service equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and pushback tractors.
- Conducting safety checks on equipment and reporting any malfunctions or maintenance requirements.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment on the ramp.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Collaborating with airline crew, ground staff, and other airport personnel to coordinate efficient aircraft turnaround times.
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Reporting any operational issues or irregularities to management for resolution.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in ground handling operations preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if operating ground service equipment).
